Lesley first started to explore painting while living in the Midwest. She
has developed a unique style of spontaneous or intuitive painting that is
most often inhabited by animals. The dichotomy of nature plays an
important role in her work, which has both mystery and an honest
spontaneity. Along with images of wonderful creatures one will often see
the tooth and claw, the beauty of nature next to the brutality. A love of
the natural world coupled with a sense of humor and fertile imagination,
has certainly helped shape the content of her imagery. Lesley now resides
in New Mexico.
